Amazing Program! Lifesaver

Purchased this program to convert my flac collection to apple lossless. This program simply does the job and does it quickly and easily. An essential companion for the music lover.

Weird MP3 Conversion

I used Tunesify to convert a file from AIF format to MP3. The AIF file is a 36-second audio recording created with Griffin iTalk on my iPhone. The resulting MP3 file appears on my desktop as a 46-second recording, yet when I open it in Quicktime it shows as 39 seconds. When I play it, it stops at 36 seconds, and shows 2 seconds left. The good news is that the MP3 file sounds fine, but the inconsistencies in reported durations of the converted file make me hesitate to use Tunesify for other MP3 conversions. I wrote the dev about this a week ago, but havent heard back. Update: I heard back from the developer, who was able to reproduce the eird result I encountered. It is apparently the result of Tunesify using variable bitrate encoding. The dev indicated that the next version of Tunesify will default to constant bitrate encoding to avoid discrepancies in the reported duration of converted files. If users want, they will be able to switch to variable bitrate encoding (but will apparently still get discrepancies in the reported times). I will update my rating once Ive tried the new version.

great

Does what it suppoust to do, better than other apps for the same price. This one works as promised.

Perfect

I recently switched to Mac from windows, and almost all of my music i have is stored in Flac, so a program like this was exactly what I need and it works perfectly. Converting to WAV or Apple Lossless is seamless with this app. Drag n Drop Flac, convert (to same folder or new folder). I also purchase audio downloads usually in FLAC format so i will constantly be using this software. Much Thanks! Peace

Works great

Does exactly what it advertises easily and efficiently. I used this app when it was available for free, and I was happy to pick up the App Store version to support simple, efficient and effective apps and their developers.

Cant be any better (except UI)

One of the best music converting tools Ive ever used, fast, quality, features of formats. Simple and straight forward, nothing but the jobs. Only thing they have room to go to next level is UI. And no one would mind if more formats are supported. Great App!!!

Incredible app for converting music files

Great interface and fast results. Worth every penny.

Big Fat Fail with WMA

Needed to convert a WMA file to AAC. Tried the free version but it says that to do WMA conversion you need the paid version so like a sucker I paid for the full version. When I try to convert the WMA I get a status of "Failed". Theres $5 down the drain.

Completely broken since last update

Trying to convert FLAC to MP3 makes the program crash, even with just one file...

Does NOT support 32 bit/192Khz.

Although it says it supports up to 32 bit/192Khz, you actually need to pay for another "hi-res" update for this feature. Without paying extra for this it only supports maximum 16-bit/48Khz.

Excellent Conversion App

I purchased Tunesify at least a year ago and I have used it on a regular basis since. I love the UI, all I usually do is drag a whole FLAC album (incompatible with iTunes) into the list, hit convert and it will use all four cores of my CPU (four files at a time) to quickly change the files to Apple Lossless or mp3 if I prefer. It couldnt possibly be any easier for me. Worth the money.

Cant export to source folder

It seems to work correctly with a few files but crashes when attempting to convert a large library. Whats more, you cant set the destination folder to be the same as the source, making batch conversion almost useless.

Does the Job Perfectly - Worth the $4

Works flawlessly, and is a major upgrade over the Lite Version. Great job!

Destination folder problem

On an earlier version of this app I could set the destination folder to match the source. This allowed me to drop in several albums at once. Now I have to specify each time, preventing me from doing multiple albums. Im looking to switch to an app that has this original functionality.

needs a fix

Like Nathan mentioned… now when I convert I have to select a directory rather then expanding or converting into the directory where the files are selected from. Taking this away in the new version was a poor decision - please put it back ASAP.

Invaluble tool

If youre an iTunes/iOS user and want lossless content in your library, this is the only way to go. Converting FLAC to ALAC/MP3/AAC is a snap. Nice OS X interface. If youre thinking about it, get it. You wont be dissapointed.

Great app for converting FLAC files

Works great at converting my FLAC files into iTunes compatible Apple Lossless files. Simple drag and drop and the files convert and add themselves automatically. Definitely worth the money!

Good

For the cost of a fancy latte it does a good job. My only negative comment is that every so often the app crashes when I start the convert process.
