Tunesify App Reviews

Perfect for my needs

Like others, I wanted a reliable, easy-to-use, inexpensive apps to convert audio files. Thank you Andrew Heard. P.S. Support Mac developers.

No 96kHz

Does not provide high bit rate (96kHz) output options, but does not mention this in the write up. Waste of money for me.

Crash

cannot encode flac to aac. waste of money -_-

Quick and Easy

Great app, does the job fast and easily. However, Id love to see a couple of things: 1) option to only accept usable filetypes (when I drag a file with artwork in it, jpegs show up and then are listed as failed conversion) 2) Ability to copy folder heirarchy to output directory instead of just a list

Check out XLD

XLD converts FLAC 24 bit files to iTunes compatible formats and maintain bit and sample rate….best of all it is free and is easy to use. Tunsify does not do this as of the current version (1.5.1).

Clean and elegant design

I only use this to convert FLAC to Apple Lossless and it works perfectly. Drops the coverted files right into iTunes. Well done.

Fails on HD FLAC conversions

I bought this for the sole purpose of converting 96k/24bit FLAC files to ALAC. It simply "Failed" on that conversion without any kind of helpful error message. Then I tried converting to AIFF (with the idea of using iTunes to convert to ALAC), but that generated unplayable AIFFs.

Want my money back

Doesnt work for me. Wont let me choose a file to save converted content to, and when I access the tunesify file there are no converted songs in it. Lame. Waste of money.

Amazing app.

Ive been looking for a simple application that lets me convert from one format to another for quite a while now, and stumbled upon this little gem. It does everything i could ever want, plus more. Excellent work, and keep the updates coming. :)

Its Good

It does crash sometimes and the paid version doesnt have the option to save the converted file in the same directory as the original, like the free version does. But its a good app. Its definitely faster than the free version, and if you have a quad-core processor it would be really fast doing 4 files at once.

Good Program

Good program, does what is supposed to do. Easy to use, almost automatic. Dont know what I would do with out it.

Its alright

I work with a lot of music, Im a Disc Jockey better known as a DJ. This program seeming worked great. I left many of my files to convert overnight, only to wake up to only half of my files actually being converted in my selecter folder. Its a good program dont get me wrong, but if you have a mass selection of media you need converted you will need to sit there and await your the final product. I had to monitor each and every piece of my media, scrolling down as it had been completed. Watched over 2,000 of my songs convert and it was pretty boring. I would love if I were able to just upload my files and walk away without having to worry about my files converting.

Very fast, very simple

Excellent conversion app for dealing with all types of audio files. I often use this to convert to various lossless formats, but occassionally will throw in video files to extract the audio- which is much easier and faster than loading up any video editing software.

A very handy tool

This app does exactly what it says it does, and it does it quickly and easily. You cant ask for more than that.

Does not write tags from Vorbis (.ogg) files

App works beautifully for FLAC, WMA, MP3, and other formats that I tested; however, when converting OGG Vorbis, tags are not written to output. This creates a significant problem when importing thousands of Vorbis files into iTunes, as they all end up attributed to "Unknown Artist" on an "Unknown Album". This is quite a disappointment since conversion of my Vorbis collection is the entire reason I purchased the full version of the app. Fix this bug and the app would be five stars!

CRASHES EVERYTIME!!!!!!!!

UNASABLE, WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

Tunesify is Great!!!

Nice app; I use it frequently and its worth every penny!

Not Bad

EDIT: I now use Tunesity more than XLD (particularly with flac files). It is very simple and straight forward. You minipulate the files to be converted and get the result requested. There have been a number of updates (this is NOT a dead program) since my original purchase in 2011. I wish it had an automatic “save” back to the original file. Converting a number of albums (and keeping them in their own folder) is still on my wish list. ________________________________ Great little program. Bought it, use it, but XLD seems to be my go to program

Very useful Tool

A very simple interface, but a powerful little tool. I’d precommend it to anyone that needs an audio or video to audio converter.

I said I would buy it and I did

Great App, easy to use and I love a devoloper who make a usefull free version. This app is super fast with a cleen and simple interface. Paid version gives you eveything that you want including conversion settings. Thanks again Andrew. Keep up the good work. PS Two thing I would love to see 1) the ability to convert TO flac 2) The ability to put multiple folders in and have them stay in folder as an output. This would save me a ton of time as I need lots of different formarts for the different programs I use (Serato vs iTunes ect.)
